These are our stories

This is my story. I grew up on a farm in southern Indiana. For high school, I attended a nearby all-girls academy run by nuns; the school has since closed. I earned bachelor's degrees in sociology and journalism and promptly joined the Peace Corps and served two years in Paraguay.

​​After a 25-year career as a newspaper reporter and editor, I am now writing other kinds of stories.
